the beginning

I have made a commitment this year.  And I told others about it.

I guess that means I have to do it.

Want to know what it is?

I WILL make one new recipe every week.  It could be a complete meal or it could just be a yummy snack.  Who knows what my heart will desire to cook this year.  I will also post old recipes for you to give a try.  My goal is to share recipes with others and to give myself a way to get this recipes when I am not at home.

A few people know how organized I am with my recipes.  I have them in protective pages by category in 3 ring binders.  I have a smaller blue binder that I put the recipes that I will be making for the month for easy access.   Yes I try to make up a months worth of recipes.  Hey it makes going to the grocery store much easier.  And come 4:00 when I get the urge to eat I don't have to think of what to make for dinner.  My only problem comes in when I forget to do a step the night before.  Yep, been there, done that!

I get a lot of my recipes from the web.  A few favorites are

I also love www.seriouseats.com.  Click on community then photograzing.  People put links to their food blogs.  And it has pictures.  I am all about seeing what I am going to eat before I even make it.
